Sleep Apnoea Association ACT

The Sleep Apnoea Association ACT Incorporated (SAA Inc) is a self help (Not For Profit) support group mainly for sufferers of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) and other sleep disorders. All the organisation Executive members are volunteers and all are users of CPAP treatment. We receive no Government funding and rely entirely on membership fees, donations, sponsorship, small grants and some advertising in our newsletter to operate the organistaion.
Incorportaed in April1992, we are a registered ACT charitable organistion (ACT Reg: A2042), we have an ATO ABN (62 545 256 140) and have Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) charity status. All donation over $2 are tax deductible.

We meet every two months six times per year at 2pm on Saturday at the Canberra Southern Cross Club, Woden.

The Association provides guidance, ongoing information and advice to sufferers of sleep apnoea and similar sleep disorders. The association meets at 2pm on the third Saturday of February, April, June, August, October and November at The Canberra Southern Cross Club in Corinna Street Phillip ACT 2606 (adjacent to the Westfield Woden Plaza).  

The Association produces an informative Newsletter for it’s members that contains helpful hints and the latest technical and medical news on sleep apnoea issues. We also issue members with ongoing information about new OSA treatments, latest medical equipment and related news and information.

The Association is composed of members of all age groups and may be able to assist with a “buddy” to help you get started with any problems you may face in adapting to your new breathing equipment and dealing with this life threatening medical condition. We can help you with using your Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) medical equipment which is the Gold Standard used to treat and manage your Obstructive Sleep Apnoea condition.
